A wine app with AI food pairing from your own bottles
HomeSomm's AI food pairing works only on your own inventory. You describe the meal in plain language, and it returns two or three bottles from your wine cabinet with a reason, a serving temperature, and a decant time, weighted towards wines approaching the end of their drinking window.

Pairing advice you can act on tonight
Generic pairing tools suggest a grape or a style. That still leaves you standing in front of the fridge deciding which of your bottles counts as 'a medium-bodied red'.
Because HomeSomm knows your stock, the answer is a specific bottle with a specific vintage, and a second choice if you would rather save the first.
What the model takes into account
The prompt is your meal or the occasion, such as a summer get-together. The context is your cellar.
- Dish weight, fat, acidity, spice, and cooking method
- Each bottle's grape, region, vintage, and taste profile
- Drinking window, so a bottle closing next year gets its turn first
- Quantity, so it never suggests a bottle you finished last month
Also useful without a meal
The drink-me-first list ranks the cellar by how close each bottle is to the end of its window, so nothing quietly ages past its peak at the back of the wine fridge.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the AI recommend wine I do not own?
- No. Every suggestion comes from bottles currently in your household cellar with a quantity above zero.
- Do I need to fill in a palate profile first?
- No. HomeSomm deliberately has no palate quiz. It uses the dish you describe and the data on your bottles.
- Can I ask about an occasion instead of a dish?
- Yes. 'Barbecue with friends' or 'quiet Tuesday, something light' work as well as a specific recipe.
